My Personal Network Marketing Story by Eddie Loggins, Jr. The Birth of “Investment Marketing” In 1988, while attending a Church convention, I visited an exhibit booth of a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company called NCN / Metromedia. NCN encouraged people to switch their long distance service and pay less money on their long distance bill, also offered residual income to distributors who were successful in recruiting customers and other distributors. The concept of residual income appealed to me, and I was hooked on it for life.
I didn’t lose money with NCN, but I didn’t make very much, even though I worked extremely hard with it, getting numerous friends and family members to switch their long distance carrier. Since that time, I have evaluated over 100 different MLM companies and have participated in at least fifteen, some of which are (TCN, Maxxis 2000, Pre-Paid Legal, Op Central, N2K, Melaleuca, Symmetry, Omega, Vmdirect, Orbitalk, Sea Alive, Fortune in Motion, School Talk, Projoba, MDI and etc.)
Each of those programs gave me valuable experiences (positive and negative), and provided me with a wealth of knowledge about the MLM industry. Collectively, I have personally sponsored over 1,000 individuals and businesses from all walks of life.
Rarely have I lost money with an MLM company. Although I have not made millions (only a few hundred thousand), the thing that I am most proud of is that I have always been able to retain my dignity, respectability and credibility with those that I recruited, because of my undying commitment to honesty and integrity. I have always been concerned about “the little guy, the average person, the least of these,” and have always strived to never allow anyone to get hurt financially. Because of that, I have been able (and am still able) to go back to the same people to introduce them to a good opportunity.
In most MLM’s, even though the average person may have the same opportunity to succeed financially, they don’t, and oftentimes they quit or drop out. That conviction caused me to develop my own system and approach to Network Marketing that I named “Investment Marketing,” and I still apply it to my analysis and potential involvement with EVERY MLM Company to this day.
My Investment Marketing approach addresses that issue and is designed for “The Little Guy, The Average Person or The Least of These.” When asked what I do for a living, I always reply “Investment Marketing.”
Investment Marketing has two (2) key components and four (4) prerequisites:
Components
What does it take for a person to accumulate a residual income that is greater than or equal to the minimum financial requirement, thus making the program “FREE” or “Self-Funding.” For example, if you have to buy $50 of product each month, what does it take for you to create a Monthly Residual Income Check of at least $50. If a person is making as much as they are spending, they will not quit or drop out, thus perpetuating continuous and consistent Residual Income.
Secondly, Investment Marketing uses the concept of “Duplication,” also known as “Compounding” to first make the program “FREE,” and then to systematically address various replicated financial needs. (See the Penny Duplication example). Regardless of the product or service, I view customers as “Investors,” such that I ask, “What is the minimum amount of Investors (customers) that a person must sponsor, in order to make the maximum amount of Residual Income, to address their various financial needs?”
Prerequisites
(1) Legal Product (Fair Market Value) – If you don’t have a product of fair market
value (one that people would buy if there were not a business opportunity attached to it). (2) MLM Structure (3) Auto Ship (Guarantees the opportunity to create “Residual” income (4) Inexpensive, simple compensation plan, labor friendly The success of this concept has enabled me to become a full-time Networker, and I have received a monthly Residual Income check EVERY SINGLE MONTH SINCE 1992, and am currently receiving monthly “Residual Income” checks from four (4) different companies on work that I did years ago. I have also helped hundreds of people achieve various levels of success, and have brought millions of dollars to the companies that provide the respective goods and services. |
